Organic is on the Rise

Bud

To unlock the full potential of terpenes in cannabis the plant needs the proper nutrients and time. Non-organic cannabis uses plant growth regulators (PGRs) to create large dense buds that have little smell and flavour in a short period of time. PGRs allows the supplier to sell less THC per weight bud for a greater cost. Common PGRs used in cannabis cultivation include Paclobutrazol, Daminozide (Alar), and Chlormequat Chloride which cause certain parts of the plant to grow fast while inhibiting growth of trichomes and terpenes. Since it is illegal to use PGRs when producing organic cannabis, buds are less dense, have more flavour and smell, and can be more potent with THC. Basically you get more bud per bud!

Environment

Organic soil retains more nutrients and the run-off is clean because the bi-products don’t contain harmful chemicals. The biodiversity created in this process allows for natural pest control and maintains soil fertility. The organic process is more sustainable for long term producers.

Health

Some PGRs used in cannabis have carcinogens which when consumed can cause health problems. Daminozide has been  illegal to use on food products for the last few decades. Pesticides and PGRs are found in dried bud and its extracts. When consumed, trace amounts are found within the THC and terpenes when you inhale or ingest cannabis. Organic cannabis allows for safe consumption while reaping all the benefits cannabis has to offer!

by Tier 1 Reserve

Crunch Berri, also known as “Crunchberry,” or “Crunch Berry Kush,” is an indica dominant hybrid (70% indica/30% sativa) strain created through crossing the Triple OG x Blueberry strain. This bud is infamous for its flavour, with hints of sweet berries and a touch of vanilla with a candy-like aftertaste. The aroma is slightly spicy although still very fruity and berry in nature with touches of herbs and pine. Crunch Berries buds have small forest green pebble-shaped nugs with rich purple undertones, bright orange hairs, and a coating of amber coloured crystal trichomes.
